The Centro Studi Volo a Vela Alpino (CCSVVA) Championships consist of the CCSVVA Distance Championship, the CSVVA Speed Championship and the Sergio Noce Trophy<\/strong>. The aim is to promote distance and speed flying amongst ACAO members, to crown the CSVVA champions and to award the Sergio Noce Trophy.

Flights made by ACAO members taking off from Calcinate between 1 October 2025 and 30 September 2026 are eligible. The flight .igc file must be uploaded to WeGlide platform <\/strong>(https:\/\/www.weglide.org\/upload<\/a>) no later than 12:00 (midday) local time on the second day following the date of the flight.<\/strong> The Registered Pilot must be listed among the pilots in the ACAO flight log. Passenger flights (so-called PAX flights with a paying passenger) are not valid.

The CSVVA Distance Championship<\/em><\/strong> is a single-class handicap competition in which pilots are divided into 4 categories based on experience. Each competitor\u2019s score in the general scoring is determined by the sum of the scores from the 5 best<\/strong> flights submitted by the pilot during the competition period.

Flights must be documented using GNSS flight loggers in IGC format, approved by IGC or otherwise accepted by WeGlide. Take-off must be recorded in the IGC file. No electronic or paper pre-declaration of the flight task is required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the case of a two-seater flight with two pilots on board, the co-pilot\u2019s name must also appear on WeGlide and, regardless of the positions occupied by the two pilots in the glider, the flight must be uploaded to WeGlide in such a way that the relevant score is attributed to the pilot (Pilot In Command) of the higher category (pilot categories are defined below). When uploading a two-seater flight to WeGlide, the name of the second pilot must be provided. If the Pilot In Command is the only one on board, \u2018SOLO\u2019 must be entered in the field reserved for the co-pilot\u2019s name. If the second pilot\u2019s name is missing or, alternatively, the word \u2018SOLO\u2019 is not entered, the flight will not be considered valid for the purposes of the CCSVVA rankings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CSVVA Speed Championship<\/em><\/strong> is a similar competition, in which the 3 fastest flights<\/strong> made by individual pilots are taken into account. Specifically, the score for each flight is determined by the maximum average speed achieved during the flight, within a maximum time of 2 hours on a route involving up to 2 turn points<\/strong>, adjusted for the handicap of the glider used (WeGlide handicap<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Sergio Noce Trophy<\/strong> will be awarded to the pilot who has completed the highest number of valid flights according to the WeGlide Free<\/em> rule. In the event of multiple valid flights completed by a pilot on the same day, only one will be counted for TSN purposes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
