Astir Club I-AFFE

The G102 Astir Club is a single-seat fiberglass club-class glider designed by Burkhart Grob and built by Grob Aircraft beginning in 1977. The club version is of composite construction (fiberglass/resin), has a large wing area and fixed undercarriage. Its large wing area offers good low-speed maneuverability characteristics and ease of handling, but its high-speed performance is inferior to other gliders with 15-meter wingspans.

I-AFFE is a 1981 Astir Club, which came to our Club in 2014 and is the preferred glider to make the “transition” to single-seat aircraft, given the many traits in common with the ASK-21.
