ACAO has qualified personnel and a significant number of certifications to operate aircraft and emergency parachutes.

The workshop offers certified maintenance service under ENAC approval IT.CAO.0014.

Established in the 1970s, almost simultaneously with the inauguration of the Aero Club, our workshop has a long technical experience has always provided support primarily to the club’s fleet of aircraft, but also those owned by members and on third-party aircraft. As of January 2017, some of the more standard operations (such as annual inspection and ARC renewal) can be booked online through our website. The wide range of activities is offered at advantageous prices for the benefit of all ACAO members and for all members of Aeroclubs federated with the Aeroclub of Italy.

The activity is entrusted to two Certifying Staff and by the Technical Department that puts competence and safety first.

The organization is currently approved to operate on all models of
EASA gliders and motor gliders and five aircraft models for both maintenance
planned than extraordinary (see ‘capability’ below). The main maintenance tasks performed are:

• 50 and 100h/annual inspections
• AD control and execution
• Avionics modifications
• Structural repairs on canvas and fiberglass

In addition, upon request, ACAO can also perform other maintenance activities such as, for example, Radio 8.33 KHz installation on gliders, motor gliders and TMGs or much more.

In addition, the technical organization has been ENAC-certified nationwide for emergency parachute folding since 2018. The service is made possible by a Certified Technician with decades of experience in the field and a separate, air-conditioned room used exclusively for folding activities. The organization is also sole dealer for Italy of Mars Parachutes.
