On October 21, 2022, the 2nd 2022 course for the ‘Touring Motor Glider (TMG) qualification will start.
The teaching is divided into two sections: a theoretical one involving 16 h in DISTANCE LEARNING taught by Antonio Mansi and Francois Robert and a minimum practical training of 6 h (including a cross-country flight of at least 150 km with a stop at another airport). At the end of the course, the student must take a flight exam with a Flight Examiner to be issued the TMG rating.
Below are the requirements for enrolling in the course:
– Be in possession of a valid SPL or LAPL(S) license or higher in status
– Be in possession of a LAPL medical license or higher and otherwise in accordance with the type of license held (those who already had the PPL have a series of credits that reduce the flight hours to 3 and reduce the Theory to the Machine Course only)
– Have had an admission interview with an instructor
The planned training aircraft are the TMG Dimona H36 and the TMG Scheibe SF-25 “Falke.”
