In about a month, the Qualifying Gliding Grand-Prix, a competition reserved for 18-meter gliders and in which the best gliders on the international scene will take part, will be held in Calcinate. Our facility is ready to host the riders, the Race Director will be Stefano Ghiorzo, and the names of the participants will also be known at the end of April.
The race will be held June 5-11 and, unlike normal gliding competitions, has a much more compelling format for the public as well: short themes of about 2-3 hours, simultaneous starts and a scoring system similar to that of motor racing.
The Club will be guaranteed to be open during the competition, and Members will be able to fly before and after the competition takeoffs.
