Varese, June 1-8, 2024
From June 1 to 8, 2024, one of the Qualifying Sailplane Grand-Prix of the XII series, a competition reserved for 18-meter gliders and in which the best pilots on the international scene will take part, will be held on the Calcinate del Pesce airport. After nine Qualifying Grand Prix, the final will be held in 2025 in Saint-Auban (France).

This competition, unlike normal gliding competitions, has a much more engaging format for the public as well, who will be able to follow the path of the gliders in real time via video simulation: short tasks of about 2-3 hours, simultaneous start, and a scoring system similar to that of motorsport competitions.
The Club will be always open during the competition, and Members of the club will be able to fly before and after the competition takeoffs.
