The wait is over. The official calendar for Sailplane Grand Prix Series 13 has been unveiled and Calcinate del Pesce has been announced as the airfield of the first qualifying Grand Prix of the series 13.
For the 8th time in history, the breathtaking skies of Varese will set the stage for high-speed racing.
Since welcoming its first Grand Prix in 2011 (Series 4), Varese has become a cornerstone of the SGP. It is a place where champions are made, famously hosting the 2015 World Final where Maximilien Seis clinched his very first World Title.
Hosted by the prestigious Aero Club Adele Orsi (ACAO), this venue offers the perfect mix of technical challenge and stunning scenery. Nestled between the lakes and the foothills of the Alps, Varese demands precision, strategy, and pure racing instinct.

This competition, unlike normal gliding competitions, has a much more engaging format for the public as well, who will be able to follow the path of the gliders in real time via video simulation: short tasks of about 2-3 hours, simultaneous start, and a scoring system similar to that of motorsport competitions.
The Club will be always open during the competition, and Members of the club will be able to fly before and after the competition takeoffs.
